Meat Loaf will hit the studio April 15 to record a new album -- the follow-up to 'Bat out of Hell III: The Monster is Loose' -- which will be produced by Rob Cavallo, best known for producing Green Day's smash 'American Idiot.' "We've been talking for almost the last year now," Meat Loaf tells Spinner. "I was waiting for him to finish one project, then I went on tour, and then he was gonna start Dave Matthews, and Dave Matthews was slow. But that's OK."
The waiting time allowed Meat Loaf to pen the material for the album, which he is very excited about. "It's done; we have 28 songs and they won't all go on," he says. "It's a more personal record actually. Still, it's gonna be big -- I'm dramatic and I can't help but be. It'll be the rock record I always wanted."
The new record isn't the only thing keeping him busy, as he'll appear on the hit TV series 'House' as the lead guest in an upcoming episode. Meat Loaf is also shooting two new films -- one with Adrien Brody and Carl Reiner, and one where he plays Brittany Murphy's father.
Meat Loaf is no stranger to the acting world. In fact, he considers himself more of an actor than musician. "I never think of myself as a musician," he says. "I actually get very nervous around musicians. I speak the language of an actor more than I speak the language of a musician."
Meat Loaf wird am 15. April ins Studio gehen um ein neues Album aufzunehmen mit dem Produzenten Rob Cavallo.
Meat sagt, dass sie darüber schon circa ein Jahr gesprochen haben und der Produzent nach anderen Projekten jetzt Zeit hat und Meat in der Zeit gutes Material für das Album aussuchen konnte.
"Es ist fertig, wir haben 28 Songs, aber es werden es nicht alle auf das Album schaffen" sagt Meat.
"Es tatsächlich ein persönlicheres Album. Allerdings, wird es groß werden - Ich bin ein Dramatiker und ich kann nichts dagegen machen. Es wird das Rock-Album was ich immer wollte."
Des Weiteren wird Meat in eine der folgenden Episoden von 'Dr. House' als Hauptgast vertreten sein und er dreht einen Film mit Adrien Brody und Carl Reiner und einen wo er Brittany Murphy's Vater spielen wird.

Wenn es ganz nach Meat´s Geschmack wird, dann muss es wohl ein großes Album werden. Ich bin echt gespannt. Dann wird wohl 2010 ein neues Meat Loaf Jahr werden.
Also, sparen, sparen, sparen. Ich werde mir ein extra Sparschwein dafür zulegen .

Ich bin zwar im Moment so pleite wie noch nie in meinem Leben, aber bis 2010, werde ich es schon schaffen. Zumindest werde ich ein Konzert auf jeden Fall besuchen können.
Ich habe sogar die Zusage von meinen Eltern und meiner Schwester, das sie mir zumindest ein Ticket spendieren werden.
